Mr. Emmanuel Moyo Nkosilathi, a human rights defender, writer and democracy activist from Zimbabwe is in Helsinki on a writers-residency for three months. He has been visiting Finnish NGO´s during his visit to get to know the civil society situation in Finland. This event he will talk about “Zimbabwe at the brink-shrinking civic space and humanitarian crisis. A human rights perspective”.
Nkosilathi is also a co-founder and Director of the Zimbabwe Organization for Youth In Politics (Z.O.Y.P) a non-partisan youth organization advocating for youth participation in political processes and citizenship rights. He is the Senior Trainer at the Community Human Rights Defenders Academy a grassroots human rights institution which seeks to develop and empower human rights defenders from remote and grassroots communities with skills to enhance their work in Zimbabwe.
