PROGRAM MANAGER, HUMANITARIAN WORK
Are you interested in working in one of the world's leading development NGOs to promote children's rights before, during and after a disaster? Plan International Finland is seeking a Program Manager to ensure implementation and fundraising for its child-centered humanitarian work, particularly with the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland and ECHO. Using your expertise in humanitarian project management and children's rights, your tasks will consist of:
* Project management of our humanitarian programs;
* Leading the preparation of funding applications to institutional donors;
* Helping to assure the quality of the Plan's projects through regular monitoring and evaluation of results;
* Contribute to the good cooperation with the country offices and donors;
* Representing Plan International Finland in external humanitarian fora, contributing to the work of the Finnish network of humanitarian NGOs and developing partnerships with other relevant actors.
As Programme Manager, you will work as part of a Nordic humanitarian team led by Plan Sweden, and supported by Plan Finland and Norway. While being physically situated in Helsinki, you will maintain a close contact also with Plan's headquarters, the EU Liaison Office in Brussels and our program countries.

What do we expect from you?

·        You are passionate about humanitarian issues and preferably you have worked with disaster response in the field;

·        You have experience in handling and developing humanitarian projects - specific experience from the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland and/or ECHO is an asset;

·        You have a thorough knowledge of children's rights in disasters and you are updated on these issues;

·        You have a higher education degree, preferably with a focus on humanitarian disasters or a related field.

·        You have a strong self-motivation, you are a team player and are used to working with many deadlines simultaneously.

·        You can express yourself in written and spoken English; Finnish and Swedish are an asset. Knowledge of Arabic, French and / or Spanish are a plus.
This is a permanent position and involved travel for up to 40% of your time. The role involves travel, often at short notice.
