The FinCEAL Plus BRIDGES project<https://www.unipid.fi/finceal/what-is-finceal/>, funded by the Finnish Ministry of Education, has opened a call for proposals under the Partnership Support Instrument. The call supports the Finnish research community respond to the challenges posed by COVID-19 in the development and re-establishment of partnerships with peers in Africa, Asia, and Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC).
Applicants for the grants must be based at a Finnish higher education or research institute.
Activities applied for must meet the following criteria:
* Respond to one or more of the Sustainable Development Goals, and
* Support either:
* the initiation of a new collaborative research partnership with a peer (or peers) in Africa, Asia, or the LAC regions or
* the re-establishment or development of an existing collaborative research partnership with a peer (or peers) in Africa, Asia, or the LAC regions.
Activities can include, but are not limited to: digitalization, virtual events, translation, small-scale infrastructure support, networking, training, digital production or publication, platform activities. A combination of these activities is also possible. Travel costs are not excluded but are not encouraged at this time.
The maximum amount of funding for a single grant is 4 000€.
