Story in the mirror - performance about the ancient wit and wisdom
Inspirational Jamaica-born storyteller Amina Blackwood Meeks visits Finland for the first time!
Meeks explores the ancient myths, wit and wisdom of Africa and explains our lives and histories. Meeks's storytelling celebrates the living and the dead, provides thought, enjoyment and laughter.
The stories often repeat themes of inequality and equality, and serve as a metaphor for events and oppression in history.
The performance is followed by a discussion on the themes raised by the performance. The performance is in English.
Welcome to this unique performance!
