Across two days,
The puzzle of peace – towards inclusive development in fragile contexts explores various themes related to peace, security, unrest, and the humanitarian fallout of conflict in different regions across the world.
The conference will be conducted in a hybrid format to allow for online attendance from anywhere in the world.
The
programme features 300+ expert speakers, including world leading academics, policy practitioners, and development specialists from the United Nations, the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland, the World Bank, and other
international organisations.
Highlights include a keynote presentation by
Professor Sir Tim Besley, panel discussions on peacebuilding challenges and post-conflict recovery, as well as insights from the latest research on achieving inclusive development and sustaining peace in fragile contexts.
Bringing together experts from academic and policy spheres, this conference aims to contribute to solving the puzzle of peace, creating a platform for knowledge exchange which can guide
research and inspire policy solutions. It provides an opportunity to identify challenges faced by practitioners working in fragile contexts, and to discuss ways in which future research can support towards achieving
SDG16: Peace, justice, and strong institutions.
